We offer a variety of courses and can also act as a testing centre for a number of online qualifications. All courses are eligible for ILA Scotland funding.

Work experience is an important part of our course structure. Candidates may be expected to take part in a placement scheme.

Basic Skills in Numeracy

Basic Skills in Numeracy features an initial assessment to gauge each candidates level. Students have access to one to one tutor support and computer-based online learning. This course is City and Guilds certified.

Diploma for IT Users Level 2

Diploma for IT Users features a basic introduction to computing and operating systems. Online learning resources allow students to access course content from home. This course is City and Guilds certified.

Main Rules
  • Each candidate is required to attend for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
  • Candidates are required to phone in before 10am on each day of absence.
  • 5 days of unauthorised absence will result in removal from the course.
  • 5 or 10 days of sickness or authorised absence means removal from the course (depending on the length of the course).
  • Travel expenses will be paid weekly in cash to the candidate.
  • The candidate will be expected to seek and attend job interviews, given reasonable notice to the placement company.
Our Commitments
  • We will supply timesheets on a weekly basis.
  • We will make weekly visits to administer time sheets and travel expenses.
  • We will carry out progress review meetings every fortnight.
  • Following a successful initial period, we will register candidates with awarding bodies.
  • We will carry out assessments to help candidates achieve vocational qualification at level 2.
  • We provide a Health and Safety Assessment, Monitory Form and Development Plan when the programme commences.
Placement Company Requirements
  • Placements companies are expected to carry out an induction covering basic health and safety rules and the candidate's main duties.
  • Placement companies will identify appropriate activites for the candidate.
